SYMPOSIUM REGISTRATION
The registration is through secure webpage developed by UWaterloo Conference Management. After creating an online account, you will be able to save participant(s) information and come back to it before submitting the registration. Several participants (group members, guests) can be registered at once. Please follow the link at the bottom of this page to register for the Symposium. Note: the electronic registration must be submitted by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27 or a Cdn. $50 late registration surcharge will be applied. We need realistic numbers for the catering people by that date!
Symposium Registration Fee: the registration fee includes the cost of lunch and the symposium dinner on Saturday, November 9. Faculty/Senior Scientist fee: Cdn. $300 (plus HST where applicable). Student & Postdoc fee: Cdn. $200 (plus HST where applicable). An additional, Cdn. $70, fee will be surcharged for each accompaning person, who would like to join us for the dinner. Please make sure to include guests in your online registration form, so we can plan the amount of food accordingly.
Payment: the payment is done online with a credit card during the registration process. UW faculty can use their research account number to pay Symposium fees. UW students and PDFs, enter your supervisor name in the research account field.
Invited speakers: we would like to ask invited speakers to register in order to know their dietary requirements. To proceed with registration please select "UW Account #" and add "invited" in the research account field.
Robert J. Le Roy poster award in Chemical Physics: it was established by the organizers of SCP in 2019 to celebrate the life and accomplishments, and to honour the memory of our dear friend and mentor Robert J. Le Roy. The best two posters presented by students at SCP, one for a University of Waterloo (UW) student and one for a non-UW student, will receive each the Robert J. Le Roy poster award ($500).
CONTRIBUTED PAPERS
In addition to the invited talks, the program of the meeting will include contributed papers, 15 of which will be able to be presented orally, with a time slot of 12 minutes plus 3 minutes for discussion. However, most will be presented at a poster session, to be held on the Saturday afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere with appropriate refreshments available. The space for each poster consists of one panel 4' wide and 4' high, on a 2' stand.
Contributed papers should be submitted in the form of a title. All authors with their status as (F) = faculty member/senior scientist, (P) = postdoc or (S) = student and their affiliations should be listed. The author presenting the paper should be identified by a star (*). In the case of a poster contribution with multiple authors being registered (attending the conference), only the author presenting should submit the contribution as such. This avoids repetitions and simplifies the preparation of our Symposium program.
The DEADLINE for the Submission of contributions is FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27 for requests for oral presentations, and FRIDAY OCTOBER 11 for poster papers. Late submissions for poster papers are very welcome and will be included in the electronic version of the conference program. To submit a paper title, simply fill out the corresponding field during online registration. You can update your registration information anytime.
Oral presentation requests: Please note that due to the large number of requests for oral presentations a selection will be done and contributors informed about the decision a week in advance to the meeting. Papers that are not selected for oral presentations will be automatically transferred to the poster session.
The SCP 2024 is over. We thank all participants for their contribution to the symposium.
